Cloud Native Engineer

As a Cloud Native Engineer, you will help our customers along the way on their cloud native journey by implementing Otomi Stack. Cloud Native Engineers are our quartermasters. You will analyse customer requirements and design and build cloud native solutions and infrastructures. You might also be involved in setting up Proof of Concepts with Otomi Stack and guide projects during migration. Next to helping our customers you will spend at least 40% of your time on product development.

About you

  • Background in development and/or operations (at least 5 years)
  • Automate everything mentality
  • Knowledge about at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C#)
  • Experience with one or more programming or scripting language (Java, C#, JavaScript, Bash)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker)
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
  • Knowledge about enterprise Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift, Rancher)
  • Worked with one or more Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD
  • Knowledge of microservice architectures and best practices (12-factor methodology)
  • Worked with/in agile/DevOps teams
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Writing/presentation skills and willingness to share with the community
  • Having some certifications like AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Azure Solutions Architect (Associate/Expert) would be great, but we will provide you with all the means necessary to get certified on one or more platform
