Site Reliability Engineer

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will be responsible for the reliability and performance of Kubernetes clusters that we manage for our customers by mastering the full depth of the stack. You will combine software and systems engineering skills to build, manage and optimize high available production-grade Kubernetes clusters, both on-premises and in the cloud. Using both open-source and proprietary software. You will need to bring all your engineering skills to make sure Kubernetes clusters always run, while automating everything.

About you

  • Strong background in development or operations (or both)
  • Experience with one programming and/or scripting language (preferably Go, Bash, Python)
  • Good Linux administration skills
  • Basic L2/L3 networking skills
  • Experience with containerization (Docker)
  • Some experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Open Shift) is a big plus
  • Worked with one or more Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus Operator, Loki, Istio and/or Knative would be great
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling like GitLab, Jenkins, Drone, Octopus
  • Some working experience with ESXi or Open Stack would be nice
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Writing skills and willing to share with the community
